Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Werk
Annie Dean is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Werk, the first and only enterprise SaaS platform for workplace flexibility. Annie completed her undergraduate studies at Syracuse University summa cum laude, phi beta kappa, and received her law degree from Fordham University. Prior to founding Werk, Annie worked on Wall Street as a corporate attorney representing institutional lenders in billions of dollars of transactions secured by real estate. During this time, Annie had two sons. Shortly after the birth of her second son, she discovered that he had a rare genetic condition that required significant medical attention. Suddenly, her life and career were no longer compatible. When she became acquainted with her co-founder Anna Auerbach in 2016, they conceived of Werk to fix these structural issues through flexibility.
Today, Werk operates as a people analytics platform that uses behavioral science, predictive analytics, and on-platform solutions to show companies exactly what flexibility employees need, where companies are failing to deliver, and how to make targeted investments in flexibility that will drive productivity, retention, and engagement in their employee base. Annie lives in New York City with her family and is an advocate for children with special needs.
