If someone told you to think of a Hollywood A-lister, there’s a good chance an image of George Clooney would come to mind. But what if someone told you to think of a humanitarian whose efforts have impacted people around the world in marginalized and displaced communities?
Alongside his 30-plus year career in entertainment, George has made an indelible impact as an activist, fighting for social justice for the world’s most vulnerable. He’s been recognized for global humanitarian efforts with his own organizations, Not on our Watch and the Clooney Foundation for Justice, among other charities like Bono’s ONE campaign, The United Way, Realizing the Dream organization, and the UN World Food Programme.
As a performer and filmmaker, his achievements have earned him two Academy Awards, five Golden Globes including the Cecil B. DeMille Award, four SAG awards, one BAFTA award, two Critics’ Choice Awards, an Emmy, and four National Board of Review Awards. Best known for roles on TV’s “ER” and in films like the “Ocean’s Eleven” trilogy and “Syriana,” George recently received a Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute. He’s been nominated in more categories than anyone else in Oscar history.
And now the Academy Award winner, humanitarian, and entrepreneur is coming to WorkHuman to share experiences from his extensive career – on and off screen – on how to lead, how to fail, and how together we can change the world by treating people with the respect, kindness, and equality every human deserves.
