Diversity, inclusion, and belonging has always been a key theme at WorkHuman, part of the vernacular and at the forefront of conversation.
Now it’s rising to a new level. “You Belong,” the connecting fabric of WorkHuman, is a business imperative and a core driver of bringing humanity back to the workplace to inspire culture change.
WorkHuman 2018 in Austin, Texas, April 2-5 (register here), features a content track exclusively focused on diversity, inclusion, and belonging, with high-level, in-demand thought leaders anchoring the numerous breakout sessions.
“Thriving through Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging,” one of eight content tracks, will explore proven strategies in building a diverse workforce where every employee thrives from experiencing a sense of inclusion and belonging. Here are three can’t-miss speakers on the topic:
Steve Pemberton, author of “A Chance in the World,” which has been made into a soon-to-be-released motion picture, is anchoring a pre-conference general session. Steve, the chief human resource officer at Globoforce, received rave reviews for his main stage interview with former First Lady Michelle Obama at WorkHuman 2017.
Researcher and author Emerald Archer, the inaugural director of the Center for the Advancement of Women at Mount Saint Mary’s University, will lead a breakout session called, “The Gender Wage Gap: Implicit Bias in the Workplace and the Process of Cumulative Disadvantage.”
And Betsy Sutter, corporate SVP & chief people officer at VMware, will share her company’s experience on the steps they’ve taken to make workforce diversity a business imperative.
These are just a few of the speakers lined up to lead the diversity, inclusion, and belonging discussions.
