Diversity, inclusion, and belonging has always been a key theme at WorkHuman, part of the vernacular and at the forefront of conversation.
Now it’s rising to a new level. “You Belong,” the connecting fabric of WorkHuman, is a business imperative and a core driver of bringing humanity back to the workplace to inspire culture change.
WorkHuman 2018 in Austin, Texas, April 2-5 (register here), features a content track exclusively focused on diversity, inclusion, and belonging, with high-level, in-demand thought leaders anchoring the numerous breakout sessions.
“Thriving through Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging,” one of eight content tracks, will explore proven strategies in building a diverse workforce where every employee thrives from experiencing a sense of inclusion and belonging. Here are three can’t-miss speakers on the topic:
Steve Pemberton, author of “A Chance in the World,” which has been made into a soon-to-be-released motion picture, is anchoring a pre-conference general session. Steve, CHRO at Globoforce, received rave reviews for his main stage interview with former First Lady Michelle Obama at WorkHuman 2017.
Investor, Writer, and Gender Equity Advocate Patti Fletcher will discuss why inclusion is an economic issue, and not just a social one, in her session titled “Stop Trying to Fix Women: Setting the Stage for Career Equity.” Patti is a seasoned tech executive and gender equity advocate, and she has been widely published on topics surrounding how to create a culture of inclusion to drive business results.
On the final day, Kim Christfort, national managing director of The Deloitte Greenhouse Experience Team, will lead a discussion on Embracing Cognitive Diversity by cultivating a new view of diversity. She will teach audience members how to embrace the power in productive friction – opposite styles complementing each other for a more balanced, productive team.
These are just a few of the speakers lined up to lead the diversity, inclusion, and belonging discussions. Stay tuned here for more speaker announcements in support of this global movement of people, purpose, and passion to bring more humanity to today’s modern workplace.
