WorkHuman 2018: A team that plays together, stays together

The end of the year is approaching. Where has your training and development budget gone?

This year, we’re challenging you— Globoforce is offering a special group rate for WorkHuman 2018 attendees to bring their entire team to recharge and connect at the HR thought-leadership conference of the year in Austin, Texas, from April 2 to 5.

At WorkHuman 2018, you’ll find inspiration from world-class speakers, connect with your own team in a creative environment, learn about best practices, make new contacts, and network with your peers from leading global brands. In addition, you’ll enjoy daily meditation and yoga classes, wonderful meals, evening receptions, and the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Austin.

In fact, we’ll even help you plan it. For teams, we’re including pre-conference support with strategies to get the most value from your time and coverage of key topics, as well as a facilitated, custom session and dedicated meeting room to bring your team together, wrap up the conference, and activate new strategies for your organization. Meanwhile, each of you will be earning 17 HRCI and 17 SHRM credits for attending – that’s nearly a third of what you need to recertify for both organizations. We’ll even come to your site post-conference to help continue the knowledge transfer and support for further development.

Last year at WorkHuman 2017, AlphaBEST Education, an afterschool company that aims to blend cutting-edge curriculum with recreation in schools across 12 states, sent 52 employees and used the conference as a team-building retreat. This became the largest employee group at WorkHuman.

To make the most of the experience, AlpaBEST team members split into smaller groups, attended different tracks, and each focused on a specific workplace issue. They followed up with discussions and shared each team’s findings with the group over a team dinner.

“Each of the AlphaBEST team members who attended WorkHuman 2016 left with a renewed sense of purpose,” Anna Keller, marketing and communications specialist at AlphaBEST, says about their first experience with the conference.

AlphaBEST first attended WorkHuman with a small group and quickly realized the benefit of sending more of their employees — including their CEO. Even months after the event, Anna says, the team still talks about the ideas they came back with, and they were able to implement many new practices based on what they learned at WorkHuman.
