Learn How to Humanize Your Employer Brand at #WorkHuman 2018

WorkHuman 2018 in Austin, Texas, April 2-5 (register here), includes a content track devoted to key strategies on how to humanize your employer brand, featuring some of the most admired leaders in global companies. Breakout sessions will discuss topics like building an internal brand, creating an authentic voice, and better connecting employees to your organization’s mission.

“Humanizing Your Employer Brand,” one of eight content tracks, will explore proven employee communications strategies to make appreciation and gratitude a common vernacular in your organization. Here are four can’t-miss speakers on the topic:

Erica Keswin, workplace strategist and founder of The Spaghetti Project, will lead a session called “Be Real: Speak in a Human Voice” on how to create an authentic human workplace. She will highlight companies such as JetBlue, Lyft, and Food52 that are making strides in “being real,” improving both internal and external connections. Erica brings 20 years of experience as consultant, speaker, writer and professional dot-connector, helping people improve performance by honoring relationships in every context.

In “Bridging the Gaps,” AlphaBEST Education CEO Judy Nee will discuss initiatives large corporations can use to make employees feel seen, heard, and recognized for their work. Judy has led AlphaBEST Education, a before- and after-school enrichment company, since 2011 and has spearheaded the organization’s investment in employee engagement.. Her session will focus on giving employees public channels to recognize and praise each other, using and acknowledging feedback, and encouraging good ideas from all levels of an organization.

Together, Traci Pesch and Brenda Pohlman, recognition strategists at Globoforce, will lead “When Employees Sing the Same Tune: Building an Internal Brand to Build Your External Employer Brand.” Traci and Brenda will show how to take employee communications to the next level to broadcast company values and drive culture change, engagement, retention, and employee happiness, using case studies from a variety of industries.
